For us, travel has always been more than just collecting passport stamps. It’s a search for a special place. In recent years, we’ve been fortunate enough to discover many fascinating corners of the world: We’ve enjoyed the tranquility of the Maldives, experienced the unique culture of Egypt, the vibrant culture of Mexico, and felt the elegance of Mauritius.

But then came Zanzibar.

After visiting this magical spice island, one thing was clear to us: this place is different. It’s not just a travel destination, but an experience for the soul. Zanzibar offers an authenticity and warmth that we’ve rarely found elsewhere. But we also learned that planning for such a destination raises questions – especially when compared to classics like the Maldives or Mauritius.
